Paul Phariss

Biography: Paul Phariss

Paul PharissCo-author of Have a Ball Learning, Paul Phariss survived a drowning accident at age six and overcame severe brain damage to learn to read at age thirty. With over 25 years experience using neurodevelopmental movement in special education classrooms, he has educated and entertained over half-a-million people worldwide. Paul has been interviewed and seen on PBS, CBS, FOX, ESPN2, the Today Show, and Good Morning America.

Paul is one of only fourteen certified Rhythmic Movement Training consultants in the US, having studied under RMT’s founders: psychiatrist Dr. Harald Blomberg and Australian kinesiologist Moira Dempsey. By identifying primitive reflexes that have been retained since childhood—or acquired through trauma—Paul helps kids and adults overcome their learning disabilities. He specializes in working with clients with dyslexia, having had first-hand experience with completely overcoming it himself at age 54. Through learning how to juggle, he was able to read—one word at a time. Since Rhythmic Movement therapy, he can now skim entire pages of text.

Paul’s products, presentations, and workshops have made him an in-demand and innovative expert in the brain fitness field. Contact us to schedule Paul to speak at your event.
